I never heard of papas, but I am seriously a fan. Don't even try to say you're not a fan. If you've had them, you are. If you haven't, you are but don't know it yet. What are papas? A big pile of shredded potatoes and diced onions grilled lightly then covered in cheese, eggs, mushrooms, and red or green chile sauce. Unless you have a magnificently outrageous appetite, better share or order the small. Service is ready-when-you-are on the spot and friendly. I saw how the staff dealt with children and elderly guests, and it is clear that they are a kind bunch. The place is spotless and tables are cleared promptly. Very inexpensive, too!

Weck's located at 2000 Cerrillos Rd in Santa Fe, NM - though relatively unimpressive on the outside - is a nicely appointed diner that is known for its' large portion of Mexican inspired traditional American food. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered off the value menu (2 eggs over medium, 1 sausage patty, hash browns and sourdough toast). Breakfast is really hard to screw up and everything was made to my liking though I forgot to ask for crispy hash browns so the hash browns were undercooked in my opinion. Other than that, my breakfast was good. My wife had the breakfast sandwich (croissant with scrambled egg and ham with cheese) and hash browns. Then she stole a half a pancake from our son. ; ) My wife thought the sandwich was very good but she also thought the hash browns were a little undercooked. She thought the pancake was good and very filling. My son ordered the short stack of pancakes and a side of sausage and he barely made it through a single pancake. The pancakes were huge and very fluffy. For service, food quality, and speed, Weck's deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

One of my favorite places to eat in Santa Fe, it's a shame they don't do dinner. My personal favorite dish was the Carne Adovada Papas plate, they also have one of the better cinnamon rolls I've had. Of all the menu items my wife and I have tried here, the only sub par item has been the onion rings, they were gross. Every single other item has been good or better, with large portions. And the service here which would be considered very good anywhere else is amazing for Santa Fe. Overall it's a shame this isn't a national chain, then I could enjoy it wherever I might be.

Our go to place for breakfast. The hash browns are always delicious! We usually get the value meal and that's just the right amount of food without leftovers. It's a little noisy but it's not bad. We always leave satisfied and happy. Now to continue with our day!

First time for breakfast last Sunday - Not a breakfast person, but hubby is so occasionally I'll go too. Had hash browns with two eggs over easy and many sauteed veggies- plus cheese :) $30 for two of us- HUGE portions, good value (took some home and was second breakfast for TWO the next day) CLEAN- great service, visited by manager at table (apparently standard operating procedure, which is a nice touch). Coffee was constantly full, so was this place but we only had a short wait. We drove by The Pantry on the way here and there were easily 15 people waiting outside, this place is cleaner and bigger and I felt the service was better too Definitely would come back, in a year when I eat breakfast again. But you should go this weekend.

Well if u want to go to a place where kids are screaming all the time this is the place we did not enjoy our meal here my husband ordered an avacado dish and got hashbrowns the turkey and ham sandwich wasn't so great either the bread was greasy n soggy the only thing that was good was the green chilie fries not impressed with this place.

Greeted immediately by hostess. Great service; manager checked on us twice. Had the French toast and biscuits and gravy. Both were fantastic. The Mexican gourmet coffee was awesome. 20$ for two people.

They aren't kidding when they advertise big portions. Even the glass of milk was deep enough to need a lifeguard.

A friend asked me to joint him for lunch and I went. Nothing to inform the choice. The server didn't know the menu, dressing choices or the ingredients. Servings were gargantuan. Too much in fact. The chips and salsa were very good. The chips, thin light and crisp. Lemonade was a mix, not fresh. The grilled chicken on the salad was excellent. The salad was just OK. Nothing thrilling. My friend said that his green chili stew was good. I gave this 2 stars as a 3 star rating says it's A-OK. This was "OK". A family of 12 or so was nearby and they seemed to really like the place.

Heard this place was awesome...not so much. I normally love these large portion, breakfast spots. I got eggs, biscuits, gravy, and sausage. None of it was exceptional., but also not terrible. As a litmus test, I split a pancake with my wife- also mediocre. There are other spots not far away on Cerillos that are much better than this. Skip it and search Yelp for alternatives. Not recommended.

Ample portions, quick seating, friendly staff...average menu and taste. Having been to the one in Albuquerque (albeit a while back) I remembered it being fantastic. It's really just another Sysco-supplied food chain, not doing anything exciting with the menu. We had the Papas for breakfast and while they were a healthy stack, just didn't wow us.

Huge portions all around. The service is fine, but the food leaves a bit to be desired. Their red chile is an embarrassing affair and should be fixed unless they plan on relocating to the Midwest.

Not bad, but not exactly that good. The food is typical for that kind of place and the staff seemed like they were in much to much of a hurry. The food came in giant portions which for the price was nice however I would recommend going to one of the better breakfast places around town.

Service was wonderful, portions sufficient, prices fair and a nice atmosphere. We had a Santa Fe sized group of 7 people, a table was set for us and prompt service and delivery of food followed. I asked if we were about to hit their Sunday morning rush and were told by one staff member that we had gotten there at a good time (8:30 Sunday morning)Our waitress offered separate checks right off, and that is appreciated. Her enthusiasm while taking our order over our choice of "Christmas" chili was authentic. I hope she sticks around. We casually mentioned that it was our friends birthday breakfast and a treat along with a group of staff ended our breakfast experience that morning, nice touch. A manager checked in with us to be sure we were enjoying our food. We will be back.

Over-rated! The food is slightly better than I-hop. The staff kisses your ass so much that it's annoying. Go to the Pantry for a much better meal.
